WeTeach_CS EC-12 Technology Applications Certification Prep will provide an overview of the educator competencies required of all teachers to become certified in EC-12 Technology Applications. This certification can be used to teach Fundamentals of Computer Science and Computer Science Principles in Texas. Course instructors will address several competencies in depth that will help to prepare them to challenge the TExES EC-12 Tech Apps (242) certification test.
 

Eligible Attendees – This workshop is limited to Texas teachers. Educators participating in a WeTeach_CS Secondary Certification Hub and/or current CEDI cohort pursuing an EC-12 Tech Apps certificate will receive priority in registering through August 5. 

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.

YOU MUST COMPLETE AN APPLICATION AND BE ACCEPTED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS WORKSHOP. When accepted, you will be provided with a code to register.

Texas teachers that meet requirements can also apply for a $200 Certification Incentive Program stipend for successfully passing the TExES 242 EC-12 Tech Apps exam and obtaining certification. Details are here. 

Certificates of Participation - Certificates stating 7 hours of Continuing Professional Education hours (CPE credits) earned will be sent electronically after the participant has completed the online course evaluation. Any questions about certificates should be directed toward the contact person listed on this page.
