Event Description

WeTeach_CS Certification Prep will provide an overview of the educator competencies required of all teachers to become certified in Grades 8-12 Computer Science. This certification is necessary to teach courses such as Computer Science I, II or III, or AP Computer Science A and can be used to teach Fundamentals of Computer Science and Computer Science Principles. Course instructors will address several competencies in depth and link attendees to additional resources that will help to prepare them to challenge the CS certification test.
 

Eligible Attendees – Texas teachers interested in becoming certified to teach Grades 8-12 Computer Science are eligible to attend. Attendees should have at least some prior experience in coding or programming to maximize their participation in this workshop.

Cost – $400.00

Certificates of Participation - Certificates stating 21 hours of Continuing Professional Education hours (CPE credits) earned will be sent electronically after the participant has completed the online course evaluation. Any questions about certificates should be directed toward the contact person listed on this page.

  Payments are due before this event.
  Refunds will not be issued for cancellations or those not in attendance.

A NOTE ABOUT MEALS

Breakfast and lunch will be provided; a menu will be emailed to you the week prior to the event. If you have special dietary needs or preferences, feel free to bring your own meals as we are not able to accomodate everyone's needs.
