ELIGIBLE ATTENDEES: Texas K-12 classroom teachers. Limit two teacher per campus.

KISS Institute for Practical Robotics: KIPRs Mission was incorporated as a 501(c) 3 organization in 1994 to  improve the publics understanding of science, technology, engineering, and math, develop the skills, character, and aspirations of students; and  contribute to the enrichment of our school systems, communities, and the nation

Junior Botball® Curriculum, Botball® Curriculum, Bobtail Competition: Our educational programs foster student technology innovation through the use of autonomous robots. The program empowers educators with zero experience in computer science to facilitate their students in writing computer code coupled with real-life applications/problems. The inquiry-based curriculum is aligned to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Technology Applications, Fundamentals of CS Robotics, CSTA, ISTE, TEKS Math and Next Generation Science Standards.

The hands-on workshop is designed to empower teachers, enabling them to teach their students how to apply computer science principles and the engineering design process to their studies. Teachers will learn how to improve students' computational thinking skills as they design, construct and write code to control their robots. After the workshop, the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics provides technical support and advice. Receive a Robotics kit including various building components, analog and digital sensors, challenge mats, and curriculum for grades K-12 valued at $575.
