WeTeach_AI for High School

WeTeach_AI is dedicated to equipping educators with the knowledge and tools to navigate the realm of Artificial Intelligence. We aim to educate, empower, and inspire educators to foster AI literacy and innovation in their classrooms.

At WeTeach_AI, we're dedicated to revolutionizing high school computer science education by integrating AI principles. Our mission is to empower both educators and students with the tools and knowledge they need to excel in the rapidly evolving landscape of technology.

Opportunity 1: WeTeach_AI High School Hub

By participating in this professional development opportunity, educators will not only enhance their own pedagogical practices but also empower the next generation of innovators to responsibly harness the power of AI and ML. Together, we can ensure that our students are not just consumers of technology but informed creators shaping a better future for all.

Join our cutting-edge teaching hub focused on high school computer science and AI/ML.

Participation includes:
  • In-Person PD (June 10, 2024)
  • 2024 WeTeach_CS Summit (June 11-12, 2024, Ft. Worth, Tx)
  • Virtual PD (4 additional days)
  • Finch Robots
  • Micro:bits
  • Book study (AI Ethics)
  • AI projects specifically designed for Computer Science teachers (Self-driving robots/cars, NLP, and more!)
  • Mentorship/guidance by expert CS educators, professors, and professionals
  • 35 CPE hours
  • $400 stipend

As a participant, you'll engage in a year-long experience within a cohort of high school computer science teachers, all dedicated to incorporating AI principles into their classes, while exploring the intersection of programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence.  Through lively discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world simulations, uncover the potential of AI to tackle complex challenges in diverse fields.

Opportunity 2: Be an AI Ambassador for Your High School

Are you passionate about fostering AI education in your high school? Join forces with the WeTeach_CS team and The University of Texas at Austin's Institute for Foundations of Machine Learning (IFML) to become an AI Ambassador for your high school.

Through this NSF-funded initiative, we're on a mission to democratize AI education by developing and disseminating high-quality lesson plans. By signing up, you'll gain access to an abundance of resources, including:
