The WeTeach_CS Summit is the premier venue for connecting with teachers and district leaders who are now implementing computer science, cybersecurity, and integrated computational thinking in K12. We have seen a tremendous increase in enrollment for our Computer Science and Cybersecurity professional development now that Texas districts receive dedicated funding through their CTE allotment, and hope you will join us as a virtual exhibitor on June 30, 2021. You are also welcome to attend the full conference (Wednesday and Thursday).

A dedicated Exhibitor space will be set up at the center of the CS Summit world, and a scavenger hunt will drive participants to the exhibitors.

VIRTUAL PLATFORM: The CS Summit will be hosted in Gather Town. Registered exhibitors will use the link sent to them by email to access the CS Summit world in Gather Town.

The WeTeach_CS Summit won’t be like a typical virtual meeting. We’re stepping up the experience using an interactive platform call Gather Town to ensure that our participants enjoy the networking opportunities that usually come from a professional development conference. Gather Town is a video-calling space that lets multiple people hold separate conversations in parallel, walking in and out of those conversations just as easily as they would in real life. In keeping with the interactive gaming vibe of Gather Town, our theme for the event is WeTeach_CS: Gotta Teach ‘Em All!

To give it a test run, head over to the official Walkthrough and Conference demos! In addition to using Gather Town, please plan on installing Zoom for the Plenary sessions.

We are also implementing strategies such as a virtual scavenger hunt that will drive participants to the Exhibit Hall during our dedicated Exhibitor time.

If you sign up for a booth and wish to share stickers/small SWAG with participants, please have these delivered to the TACC office at address below by June 1st so we can include them in SWAG bag registrants will receive before the event. Please ship 350 pieces. Please email Nathalie for mailing address details at nathalie.b@tacc.utexas.edu.

Exhibitors will be provided with a virtual booth that attendees can walk up to just like in real life! To help facilitate this experience, we can place any URL you would like on your booth. For example, you could have a form, webpage, pdf, or video appear when an attendee interacts with your booth. We will also be incorporating your organization’s logo. If you would like to specific version displayed, please let us know.

Please note that you will need a microphone and a webcam to fully participate in the summit, and Gather Town only supports the Chrome and Firefox web browsers on desktop computers. Gather Town does not work on mobile devices or the Safari web browser.

We also encourage all exhibitors to ensure their company is a signatory of the Student Privacy Pledge from https://studentprivacypledge.org  The signatory status of your company or organization will be noted in the program.

Registration

When you are ready to register, the system will ask you to login. You will need to log in with your UTEID and password. If you do not remember your UTEID and password you can click on the “I forgot my UTEID or password” link.
